JUNIOR GUIDES RAFT CAMP

EarthTrek Expeditions welcomes the Junior Guides Raft Camp to our campground along the South Fork of the American River in Lotus, California!

There are two overnight camping/meals options. Please read the details of each option very carefully before making your reservation.

You will find the link to make your reservation at the end of this page

THREE NIGHT PACKAGE

$155 per adult and $130 per youth (10 & under)

Includes a campground use/resort fee for Saturday*, Sunday, and Monday nights. Also includes dinner Sunday and Monday nights and breakfast Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings. Tent rentals not included.

*On Saturday nights, you will be sharing the EarthTrek campground with other campers who are rafting with our partner outfitter, OARS. Initially there will be roughly half of our rental tent inventory held for OARS campers and half for Junior Guides Camp families. If the Junior Guides tent block is completely booked for Saturday night, there will be  a wait list for tents for Junior Guides campers. If tents are unbooked by OARS campers around two weeks in advance of your camp session, you will be receiving an email from us that Saturday night camping in the tent rental you requested is available. We will be honoring the wait list in the order that reservations are received, so there is no guarantee that you will be able to camp Saturday night with us in a rental tent if you are on the wait list. If you are unable to secure a tent rental on Saturday night, plan on bringing your own tent camping gear or plan on staying off-site somewhere else. Or you may switch to the two night package.

NEED-TO-KNOW INFORMATION

There is no electricity in rental tents or in the communal tent camping area. If you require electricity at your campsite, please bring your own portable power banks. There are two electronic charging stations in camp where you can charge your cell phone and other battery-powered devices. If you have a medical condition that requires power to your tent, such as a CPAP machine, please contact us to discuss options.

You cannot drive your vehicle to your rental tent or the communal tent camping area. Be prepared to transport your gear from the parking lot to your tent. We have several hand carts you may use for this purpose, but please be aware the demand for the carts may be high on your arrival night, so it may be beneficial to bring your own foldable cart in case our carts are being used by other campers and you don't want to wait for an available cart.

Pets are not allowed at our campground

Personal cooking using camp stoves and BBQs are not allowed.

There is no dinner available at EarthTrek on Saturday nights. You can grab dinner at one of the several near-by restaurants or bring your own pre-cooked food to camp.

Campfires will not be allowed due to concerns about wildfire risks.

Wi-Fi will be available

Junior Guide Rafting Camp participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to camp overnight at EarthTrek.

Check-in begins at 4 PM on the night you arrive. Early check-in is not allowed in order to give us the needed time between groups to get your tent and our facility clean and prepared for your arrival. If you arrive early you will be asked to leave and return at check-in time.

There are no RV/van sites available at the EarthTrek campground. No large RV or trailer (over 20 feet) parking is allowed in the parking lot due to parking lot size. If you prefer to camp in your van (under ~20 feet), you may do so, but you will have to sleep in the parking lot. Our parking lot is in full sun during the day, so please keep that in mind. There are no electricity/water/sewer hookups available. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

No refunds will be given if you cancel less than 7 days before the first night of arrival. Refunds will also not be given for any nights or meals not used during your stay if you choose to leave early or miss any of the meals.
